KingConvert Nokia N97 Video Converter is a video converter. It allows you to convert video files for playback on Nokia N97 phones and other devices that can play MPEG-4 files. Most computers and mobile phones can play that format these days. There is only one conversion profile available in this application, and it reads Mobile MPEG-4 Video(*.mp4). I can't find a way to see what the optimized conversion settings are for that profile, though.
I tested an MKV file on this application. The file was accepted and the built-in video player showed the first frame of the video. It also played the video quite well. However, it failed to play sound. At the top-right part of the screen is the video properties tab. It shows information about the file that you are converting. Apparently, by default, this converter keeps the aspect ratio of videos that you add to the queue. This is great, since there is nothing worse than a stretched-out video on a mobile device.
The resulting file had audio and video. It played normally on VLC and the resolution had been scaled down. There was a lot of pixelation, but that is often not noticeable on smaller screens.
